september 11, 2001an image forever etched in everyone's mind... and an event that will never be forgotten. i remember exactly what i was doing on this day, as i'm sure millions of others can recall exact events that took place. i was off work that day.. getting ready to go out to run some errands around moncton. i had the tv on in the background and i was just standing in my bathroom putting on makeup when i heard the music play for special bulletin on the station i was watching. i am completely obsessed with new york city, and as soon as i heard that a plane had struck the tower, i went out to watch. at first, like everyone, i thought it had just been an accident... a plane out of control, something terribly wrong... then i watched the second plane fly into the tower.. another image that is forever engraved in my mind's eye. i couldn't move from my couch... i just sat and watched, hand over my mouth in absolute shock. nothing in my lifetime had ever occured that could describe the magnitude of emotions that swept me... nothing in my lifetime had happened of this magnitude so close to home. i cried for the people who lost loved ones, i prayed for the people still in the towers.... then they fell. i never left my couch the rest of the day.... everyday errands just didn't seem to be important...life never the same.
